# Attribution and licence scope

The author selected annotations from all listed editions, including Cortot and
Paderewski, with no scanned pages from any edition. This inclusion decision is
recorded in RELEASE.json; it does not independently verify rights. The candidate
still requires package/hosting review and is not approved for publication.

Project software is MIT. Independently created annotations, matching decisions
and entropy outputs use CC BY 4.0 only for rights held by the project. This does
not relicense underlying editorial or encoding contributions. No single licence
covers this mixed package. No source scans or source-image files are distributed.

separate in fingerings.json; no claim is made about copyright in individual

The following exact witnesses are credited to IMSLP and the stated providers.
The catalogue classifications and publication information were checked on
3 November 2026. They are a documented publishing basis for the proposed
historical subset, not a finding of worldwide clearance of every component.
The transcriptions concern main-score fingerings. Edition attribution and source accuracy
remain separate; transcriptions are AI-assisted and mostly unreviewed.

Direct per-file source links are included in data/editions.json and records.

Klindworth's editor/publisher attribution remains catalogue-based because the
retained scan has no credit page. The Paderewski excerpt also lacks its editor
credit page. The plain Paderewski catalogue tag does not establish an urtext
rationale or settle rights in added fingerings. Cortot has a territorial flag;
no worldwide clearance date is asserted. The author's recorded choice includes
both editions' annotations and excludes their images, as for every other
edition. Source links instead of images do not resolve annotation rights.
